As much as it pains me - and perhaps all of us - to be forced to withdraw in such a manner, I do suppose its only the best that we regroup and plan our next course of action rather than to run around aimlessly and just wasting our resources. All of us could do will a well-deserved break anyway.

Aside from that though, I welcome our newest arrivals upon our esteemed ship; my name is Kristoph Gavin, currently ranked Lt. Commander and serving onboard as quartermaster. I do hope that you all will enjoy your time on the ship - especially our... ah, very well-esteemed guest. I hope the crew hasn't been much of an inconvenience to you thus far, Mr. Ishida.

We will remain in Bellcius until further notice - however this is no time to lower your guards; we will depart the moment we receive notice to do so. [/End Filter]

While your return is quite the surprise, I suppose I should have expected it sooner or later.

Welcome back, dear stepbrother. [/End Filter]

[there's a pause for a good while, but eventually Kristoph forces himself to speak.]

I suppose you all have heard the captain's orders already, but for those who have not I will now repeat them for you: everyone except for the passengers and the injured are to assume their stations. Major Alkirk, immediately pilot the ship back towards Bellcius; navigators, quickly chart out the quickest course you can find. The sooner we return to the city, the better.

Well done, gunners. It seems that you've at least improved from the last time I've heard of your abilities. It certainly will be something worth celebrating - though not as much as when our greatest nemesis has been taken down. Do continue on your efforts - the battle's only just beginning. [/End Filter]

Pleasant news, sir - we've managed to hit the side of the pirate ship. If anything, they should slow down somewhat at least. [/End Filter]

I thank you all for you hospitality and understanding in light of what happened to me, and I do apologize for having made that outburst. I was in a rather strained state of mind then, so I do seek your forgiveness. I assure that it won't happen again.

Also, thank you all kindly for your gifts; they are all rather special.[/End Filter]

[the post abruptly starts with a loud buzz of static which is more than enough of an attention grabber for anyone who's listening at that point in time. The static then clears after a few moments, and voices are heard shouting around in a mix of surprise and fear and some shock.]

Sir, you can't do this—you've just recovered and you what you need now is rest—

Silence! What I have to say is of great—cough—importance, you buffoon! Now let go of my journal!

Sir, I insist that— [voice is cut off there and then as Kristoph growls and then there's a yelp followed by the thump—presumably the other person falling down somewhere. There's some shuffling and more coughing, and then the man speaks. Or rather, screams.]

MILES EDGEWORTH! I DEMAND JUSTICE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE SO BLATANTLY TRIED TO GET RID OF—cough—OF ME. DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT YOU COULD TRY AND TAKE OVER ME WITH SUCH A PA—cough—PATHETIC ATTEMPT? IT'LL ONLY BE A THOU—cough—THOUSAND YEARS BEFORE YOU CAN EVER HOPE TO ACHIEVE PERFECTION, INGRATE! SHOW YOUR FACE NOW YOU COWAR—

[Kristoph stops abruptly, trailing off into a series of coughing and wheezing. There's a loud crash after that before the post is cut off.]

A new president so quickly? Its only one incompetent leader after another. Sooner or later they'll see the truth of how far they truly are from the success that they should really deserve instead of squabbling around like a bunch of wild ducks fighting over a stagnant pond. And saying that it was the Badlands that did it... honestly, what could they think someone like Joseph Falls could do? All he does he talk - and there is no way that he'd be able to pull of something as large at this.

Just one idiot after another. No wonder the nation's in such a horrible state. If I had my way, then none of this would have happened at all. The fools. [/End Filter]

Kamotaro. First of all, regarding those charts - I was only trying to ensure that there is nothing short of perfection so that we won't be running into any problems while on the way back. I'll have them sent back - but you do have to agree that the preparation is certainly paying off now.

And secondly - if you could so kind as to spare an old friend a few minutes, I'd like to have a word with you about these... books you've been bringing to me recently. [/End Filter]

...well.

That certainly was a rather interesting display of the arts on the network. Who knew that we had so many hidden artistes within our vessel? Perhaps they should try and earn some extra cash with their talents now, hrm? Though really, it'd be best if they use those talents... more wisely. We do have a ship to repair after all and seeing these poems floating about instead of results is really rather distressing.

Unfortunately though I'm still stuck in the ward, so I suppose I can't speak much for myself.

How positively unbecoming of me, getting caught in such a ridiculous trap... though I suppose considering how most of the crew fared, perhaps this oversight can be overlooked. Still, I should have known better than to have to lose myself to something so impossibly crude. Magic. How I loathe it.

That aside, the recent news is certainly something to think about. Its obvious that someone's out to cause some trouble, but then again its commonplace in times like these. Rather the question is why someone would want to do such a thing, when the place is still recovering from the impact of the Doma Incident, amongst others. Trying to cause more tension? Joseph Falls has already done a good job about that, if I have anything to say about that. The truth will reveal itself in time then, I suppose.

And Sousuke Aizen... he's certainly quite the character. I look forward to conversing with him more. [/End Filter]

I do apologize for whatever I might have done during the duration of the mage attacks - I unfortunately got caught in one of those berserking spells in a bout of carelessness. Although really, did [info]you [info]two have to hit me so hard? I'd rather think you were almost out to kill me.

If I managed to cause any harm on anyone during my spell, allow me to apologise once again. I'm afraid I'll be unable to aid the repairs given my current condition, but hopefully I should be back to tip-top condition as soon as possible.

Ah, Solare... its been a while since I was last here - though it doesn't seem much has changed at all. I supposed its just one of the things about the city that make it so endearing, in a sense.

Of course, I believe the captain has already mentioned it earlier, but please do try and take care of yourself - and do consult our boatswain who had so kindly volunteered to organize this - if you find yourself in a desperate need to go out to the streets for some reason or another. Such a wild place like this is only an easy place to prey on the unexpected, and surely we wouldn't want anything to happen to our crew mates anytime soon now, hrm? Even our doctors can only do so much for the injured in such a limited amount of time.

Well it seems like our acquaintances have managed to get away once again. Perhaps they really do posses the Devil's Luck that's so rarely heard nowadays. It'll be an interesting battle when we finally meet them again soon enough now, hrm? But for now, I say let them enjoy the short time of freedom they have for now - anything that crosses the path of this ship will be taken down, one way or another.

They'll get what they deserve eventually, so there really isn't a need to worry. No need to get all of your pants up in a twist, as the saying goes. Fate will eventually lead us to our destined course - and into triumph over our adversaries. [/End Filter]

So it seems that the 4423 is now heading over to us as we speak. I'd say this is a rather perfect opportunity to get rid of our opponents now; after all, they've managed to evade you twice - something that no other ship has done before and tarnished your otherwise perfect record. Since they're coming here now all wrapped up nicely, why not use this chance to exact your revenge once and for all? [/End Filter]

If anyone would be so kind as to have pay a minute of attention to this post, could I request for someone to come over to my quarters? There is a rather... peculiar creature that has invaded my room and I'd like to have it removed since my good arm is still incapacitated and I'd really hate if I injured it somehow.

What an interesting turn of events now, it seems. Now it seems the fire of suspicion and mistrust has fallen upon the 4423 - the ship that had been involved with this ship back in the assassinations in Kropmork. What to make out of it, I wonder? Was it really done by that ship in question - I wouldn't put it past them, certainly, but if they were indeed capable of such feats I would have imagined they would have done it quite a long time ago, and not only now when there's already so much tension amongst the two nations. Its quite laughable, to be honest. Quite laughable indeed. To think the length the government would do to cover up accidents such as these.

Its a bit like what happened to me, I can imagine. Making me the scapegoat when it was clearly our faceless perpetrators at work here and tarnishing my reputation. And now here they're shoving all the blame onto the 4423 - the ship that gained its notoriety henceforth due to the Kropmork incident. Is it because of that reason alone - just simply making use the name of such an infamous ship - so to shift our eyes away from the truth once more as they frantically cover-up the mess that they made? Who's to say if either Vohemar or Ivona is responsible - if indeed, the poison was indeed manufactured from Draklor in Melior - then its safe to say that Ivona is responsible for this. And to shift the blame away, they only blamed the best scapegoat that was provided to them - the unfortunate ship that happened to be there at that time. The 4423.

But looking at Lt. Commander Katsura's post, yet another possibility is to be raised : perhaps, it is indeed another attack by our faceless perpetrators? There is no clue at all as to who and what they are - and for all we know they might have access to the labs just as we do as well. They could very well easily use that toxin as reference into manufacturing their own, and like this they can all too easily blame Ivona for it. But yet Ivona denies these allegations, and shifts the blame to Vohemar - or at least, the 4423; reputedly one of their best pirating vessels around. The fools. This couldn't be more ironic. In the end, its just a game of pointing their fingers and accusing each other of this crime, and they're never going to truly look into this mess and foolishly hope that all of this will fade away soon enough. Just like the Kropmork assassinations. Just like the Lunasa Bombings.

They're all fools, everyone of them in the government. Its a wonder the nations still even exist today, what with all their incompetency and imperfection. But yet, its because of these imperfections that I could become what I am today. I suppose I do have to thank them for this somewhat - thank them for teaching me just how absolutely useless they all are. If they can even let scum like that brat enter into service despite his heritage, then they don't even deserve to lead our glorious nation anymore.

I wonder if Justice will be able to get anywhere with his investigation. He's far too overzealous for his own good, that child. Perhaps I should consult him in the near future to get some information on that pirate-hunting vessel that he's serving on - the Silvana, was it? It would be good to see how that vessel is faring, especially with all that racket it caused earlier on a while back. [/End Filter]

[coughing sounds from Kristoph as he manages to get out from his battle with the Chocobo Eater in the engine room, and a hiss as his injury throbs painfully. He manages to compose himself after a pause though, and speaks quickly into his journal.]

All present crew members and passengers, report in. Are there any damages to the ship thus far? If there are, report it to me immediately; its imperative that I get a total stock of the damages accounted for the ship so that the captain is made aware of this when he returns. The threat in the engine room has been neutralized, fortunately since that place is the place that's going to keep our ship afloat in the skies.

Any remaining threats are to be reported as well and to be rid of as soon as possible. Failure is not an option; unless you don't value your life as much as the person next to you does. They're weak to fire, and are disrupted by sound and bright lights so use that to your advantage and—

[he's interrupted by a sudden rumble and a lurch as things fall off his desk, but Kristoph manages to keep himself and the journal upright this time. The familiar humming of engines start, and there's a long pause as the man puts two and two together...]

Who the hell is starting up the ship?! I didn't give any commands for this to happen! Whoever is pulling this ridiculous stunt, stop it now unless you want your head off your neck!!
